How to Replace the Background Image in Canva

1️⃣ Upload Your Image

  • Click Uploads on the left sidebar in Canva.

  • Click Upload Files to add your image.

2️⃣ Replace the Background

  • Drag and drop your uploaded image onto the existing background.

3️⃣ Adjust the Dark Overlay (if needed)

  • If the dark overlay disappears, adjust transparency:

    • Click the background image.

    • Reduce transparency (usually set to 60%) and change the background color to black for readability.

4️⃣ Reposition the Image (if needed)

  • Double-click the background image.

  • Use the zoom toggle to zoom in/out.

  • Drag the image to reposition it as needed.

5️⃣ Final Adjustments

  • If text is covering key parts of the image, you can:

    • Move the text down.

    • Make the text smaller.

    • Adjust the background image placement.
