Carousel posts are a great way to share multiple photos or graphics in a single post on Instagram. This is where you swipe to see multiple images in a row in one post. They’re perfect for showcasing a property, creating step-by-step guides, or telling a story.
Follow this step-by-step guide to create and post your carousel.
Step 1: Prepare Your Content
Before you begin, ensure your photos or videos are ready:
Number of Slides: You can add up to 10 images or videos in one carousel.
File Types: Supported file types include JPEG, PNG, or MP4 for videos.
Order Your Slides: Decide the order in which you want your slides to appear.
Step 2: Create a New Post
You're going to do this the same way you would to post a single photo:
Open the Instagram app and tap the "+" button at the bottom center of the screen.
Select “Post” from the menu.
Step 3: Select Multiple Images or Videos
Tap the "Select Multiple" icon (two overlapping squares) in the bottom-right corner of the image preview screen.
Choose the images or videos you want to include in your carousel. Tap them in the order you want them to appear.
After selecting your media, tap Next in the top-right corner.
Step 4: Edit Your Slides
Apply filters or edits to each slide individually by tapping on the image or video.
Alternatively, tap “Edit” to adjust all slides at once.
When you’re happy with the edits, tap Next in the top-right corner.
Step 5: Write Your Caption and Add Details
Write a compelling caption to engage your audience. Use emojis, hashtags, and a call-to-action (e.g., “Swipe to see the full property tour!”).
Add hashtags relevant to your post to increase visibility.
Tag People: If applicable, tag individuals or businesses featured in the post.
Add a Location: Tag the location of your content for local reach.
Step 6: Review and Publish
Review your carousel to ensure all slides are in the correct order and everything looks good.
Tap “Share” to publish your carousel post to Instagram.
