One of the best things about our Coffee & Contracts templates is that they’re made to look custom, without taking hours to edit. Here's a quick walkthrough on how to personalize our carousel posts and transfer them from your laptop to Instagram—without pulling your hair out.

1. Open the Template in Canva

Click the link from the C&C website to open the carousel post in Canva. You can do this from your phone or computer, but for the best experience, we recommend computer.

2. Customize the template

→ Look for any templated text like [City Name] or [Your Name]
→ Swap out the colors to match your brand.

→ Replace images with your own images.

→ Change the copy slightly to reflect your voice (or leave it as is—we’ve done most of the work for you!)

3. Download the images

Once you’re happy with the edits:

  • Click “Share” in the top right corner of Canva.

  • Choose “Download” → File type: PNG or JPG → Select Pages → Choose ALL the pages in the carousel → Download.

This will give you a zipped folder or multiple images—one for each slide of your carousel post.

4. Transfer to your phone

💡 You can technically post directly on your computer for Instagram.com, but you must post from the Instagram app to include a trending audio - which will expand your reach. (as of March 2025)

There are a few easy ways to get the images from your laptop to your phone:

  • Canva App: You can also access your design directly from the Canva mobile app—just download the images straight to your camera roll.

  • Airdrop (Mac to iPhone): Quickest option—select all the images and Airdrop them to your phone.

  • Nearby Share (Android to Android or Android to PC): If you're using Android, you can use Nearby Share to quickly send the images from your computer to your phone (or vice versa).

  • Google Drive or Dropbox: Upload the images to a folder and access them from your phone’s app.

  • Email: Email the images to yourself and download them to your phone from your inbox.

5. Copy the caption from C&C

→ If you’re using an iPhone, you can copy the caption on your laptop and paste it on your phone—as long as you have Handoff enabled.

  • On your iPhone: go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff > Turn on Handoff

  • On your Mac: go to System Settings > General > AirDrop & Handoff > Turn on Handoff

  • Once that’s on, just copy on your Mac and paste on your iPhone—it should sync automatically.

→ If you’re using Android, check that Clipboard sync is turned on in Gboard and you’re signed into the same Google account on both devices. (It may work depending on your phone model.)

→ Or, log into Coffee & Contracts on your phone and grab the caption directly from the website.

6. Post on Instagram

Add a location (this helps increase your reach locally—make sure it’s relevant to the post!).

Add a trending audio (yes, even to still posts!) check This Week’s Strategies for early trending audios to use each week.
