Use the guidelines and instructions below to make the most of your C&C Design Templates!
1. Use Find & Replace Text
Many of our templates include placeholders for you to add in your city's name or your Instagram handle. To quickly change these placeholders in bulk, use the Find & Replace Text option in Canva
Click File > Find and replace text. Or use "Command" + "F" to find and replace text. Update placeholder text in the templates like "@yourinstagramhandle" and "City Name" to your own information.
2. How to upload your own images
We've learned social media posts that include a photo of your face will always get better engagement than posts with stock photos. That's why our templates include example photos of agents. To add your own photos, click "Uploads" from the left toolbar. Drag and drop your images into the design to update the placeholder.
3. Change the colors & fonts in your design with one click
In your Canva design, click Design in the left tool bar. Toggle over to Styles. Shuffle through different color palettes and fonts to find one you like. Click Apply to all pages.
Additionally, if you change the font or color of an element, look for the pop up on the bottom left that gives you the option to "Change all"
4. How to pull other designs into your current design.
If you're working on a post template or guide and you want to use a page from another design you can quickly and easily insert that page into your current design.
Go to "Projects." Click "See all" to view all previous designs. Select the design. Then select the page you'd like to insert or "apply all pages"
5. How to easily move pages around within your design
Click the 4 squares on the bottom right of your design.
Click and hold the page you'd like to move. Drag and drop it in the order you prefer.
6. How to Use the Background Remover Tool
Some of our templates include examples using the Background Remover tool (example below). To add this effect to your own image, you must have Canva Pro. Upload your image, click Edit image > BG Remover.
If you DO NOT have Canva Pro, delete the example image to download the template without upgrading to Canva Pro. See the next tip for a free background remover tool.
To remove the background from an image, upload the image you wish to use.
Then, click on the photo from your uploads to the left to bring it into the design.
With the image selected, click Edit Image from the top toolbar.
Then click BG Remover
Click BG Remover again to touch-up any areas you want restored or removed.
Adjust the brush size for fine-tuning and toggle show original image for an alternative view.
Once you're happy with your image you can download your design as normal.
