Step One: Find your template
Click the calendar button on the C&C dashboard menu to open this month's content. Select the post you want to work with, then click Open in Canva.
Step Two: Open the template in your account
Click View Template, then Open in Editor. This creates a copy of the template in your own Canva account.
Step Three: Choose your style
Click the four squares in the bottom right corner to get a full overview of the template pack. C&C templates come in two styles — light rose and dark rose. Pick the one you want to use and delete the other by highlighting it and pressing delete.
Step Four: Choose your cover variation
Most templates include multiple hook/carousel cover variations. Decide which one you want to use, then delete the rest by selecting each one and clicking the trash can icon.
Step Five: Remove any C&C notes
Some templates include notes from the C&C team highlighted on the canvas. Read them, then click the text box and delete it so it doesn't show up in your final download.
Step Six: Update the text
Click directly on any text in the template — it'll highlight right away. Double-click to enter edit mode, then select and replace the text with your own copy. Repeat for any other text boxes.
Step Seven: Update the font (optional)
Click on a text box, select the text, then click the font name in the top toolbar and type in your brand font. Click Change All to apply it across the entire template at once.
Step Eight: Add a color accent (optional)
To make specific text stand out, double-click the text box, highlight the words you want to accent, and click the text color button. Select a color from your brand kit or choose a custom color.
Step Nine: Add your photo
In the left sidebar, click Uploads, then Upload Files to bring in a photo from your computer or phone. Drag and drop the image directly onto the photo placeholder until you see it snap into place, then release. Double-click the image to reposition it within the frame.
Step Ten: Download your post
Canva saves automatically. When you're ready, click Share > Download, select PNG, and click Download. Your post is ready to go!
